Hmm. First time I have seen the video.

Stay right unless passing Chris?

As a prior Dodge owner, I'm not all that surprised even when you don't factor in the OH issue with the dmax. The ISB that you were up against is what I used to have, and as much bashing as the Dodge gets, I find it completely unwarrented sans mentioning the 47re auto. If I would have got the 5 speed, I'd not be on this site! IMHO the Cummins kicks butt. I still miss the ft/lb that that thing could roll on that never seems to happen with the LLY. I know it is there, but it is different, and not in a good way IMHO. However, I bought this truck for the Ally and the crew cab, which has not disappointed. And I understand the point that was being made.

Oil pressure remained higher than I expected...

On my way back from San Diego I drove the same route as Tx did in the Video. There was an ice storm that closed I-10 and trucks and RV's were bottled up and just waiting for the road to open.. In other words the road was packed with all types of trucks and trailers...

There was not a single diesel pickup, pulling a load, that could keep up with me and I was never passed in over 200 miles I did pass all kind of Dodges, Chevys, GMC and Fords though

When my truck was relieved of that god awful fan it came alive! The engine is completely stock and has never had any type of program or chip and now it will never need one!

Swatkins So are you home yet? Boy you sure picked some of the weirdest weather to be towing a big old 5er in. Got to hand it to you, I don't think I would want to be playing with Mother Nature In January with that load. Glad your safe and sound and thanks for all the data you have aquired.

Chris I have been reading your posts on the DG. Very good. I even read the one you posted that got moderated. I'm sure you know which one I am talking about. Your sure have learned to be patient with KB. I couldn't stay silent anymore. That guy is just loony. If you want to read what I wrote you might want to go read it before it gets modded also.

Cheers
Griz

I am home Griz..

I have to take the wife to the National Needlepoint Winter Show every winter... It's always in California, Long Beach next year, and I can't pick the weather

I am going to miss that old hill on I-8 but I am sure I can find something good on I-10 west of Phoenix!

I stopped off and had a few brews with Numbnuts this year, Maybe I can hook up with someone else on the road next year

I would love to meet you in person next year. I would have drove to San Diego this year but we just have had so much going on. I guess I'm still playing catch up from being in Iraq for 7 months. Anyway I'm glad you made it safe and sound. Can't wait for your final report!

In this world there are a lot of people trying to make a fast buck and you have to be really careful who you deal with. The Diesel Spot was established to be a "tool" to help people with their problems and find good solutions and dealers. As long as I am associated with this site it will never become a place where a dealer is "protected" and excused from answering tough questions about their product.

Now that does not mean we are going to call you names and talk bad about your dog. It means that honest questions should be given honest answers and you better have verifiable data to back up your claims. You might say the Diesel Spot is the Fox News of the forums, "committed to being fair and balanced"

So...... You guys just go right ahead and ask old Tx anything you want! He is fair game

Oh, and KB if your reading this your welcome to post here also... Of course the same rules apply and your fair game also...
