It is usually the passenger or a bystander that is most severely injured. I have no idea why.

I watched this video and actually felt my blood pressure and temperature going through the roof. I see these idiots on the highway all the time, acting like everyone is there to see them perform. It drives me crazy. The sad thing about this video is that someone, probably one of his buddies was filming him as he scarred this girl (who was probably a willing participant) for life.

Ok I'm done - just needed to rant for a moment - I apologize in advance if anything I typed offends anyone.

What can I say. Mental Midgets piss me off!!!!!!
I think that was a more than fair "rant" as you put it. Its easy for me to laugh at the title "Dumping your Girlfriend" but I will admit I watched it several times and even nearly frame by frame by using the pause feature. she was surely hurt badly in that "accident" no way around it. Thankfully she was wearing a helmet because otherwise her face would have been toast, but like you I am confident she still has major scars for life from that crash.

I have done more than my fair share of hauling ass on the roads, and I have seen people lose it big time too. I see at least 5 wrecks a day around Houston, some are really severe. People do not seem to think ahead to the possible consequences of their own actions.

The guys in the Stockholm video were all cool and everything, and got away with extended huge speeds around town. But, it could have been very different if someone would have pulled out of a side street in front of the lead car. Then it would be a crash video of likely fatalities over stupid crap. I can envision that video being a lot different......

I guess I'll put my $.02 in here, since I've (and probably everyone else here) done my share of high speed manuvers and motorcycle tricks.

Most importantly, there is a time and a place for everything.

To me, it's more dangerous to pull 21,000# of truck and travel trailer down the interstate than it is to ride a motorcycle. In the truck/trailer I can't accelerate, turn or stop as fast as I can on a motorcycle. When pulling, dip sh!ts jump in front of me and lay down on the brakes as if I can stop on a dime (that's where train horns come into play), I have nowhere to go but up your a$$. On a bike, I can normaly tell what you are going to do BEFORE you do it. Sounds odd, but even if you don't signal your actions, there is still a natual head twitch that can be read in an instant. On a bike, all of your sences are active, plus there are no cell phones, radios, nagging passengers, screeming kids, lap tops, ac/heat controls, etc to distract you. It's just you and the bike. I always ride fast on my bikes, not outside of my abilities or traffic speeds, but fast enough to not be passed by automobiles. If cars are passing me, I'm in danger, because I can't read your next move. If I'm passing you I can see you and judge what you are going to do at all times.

To doing tricks: I like poping a wheelie or two whenever I deem it safe to do so. There is nothing wrong with it when you know what you are doing and know an acceptable place to do so. My V-Max is easy to bring the front wheel up because it has so much power. With the wife on the back, it changes the balance of the bike and makes it real easy to do. A speed shift from 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 (at 10,000rpm) and the front wheel comes up each time and sets down nice and easy. I'm not worried about her because she has a back rest and we are nice and snugg in our seats. I even have an older friend that can ride wheelies for a long distance on his Goldwing . That kid was showing off for the camera and got bit. he probably had done that 100 times with her on the back, turn on the camera, and that little extra adrinalyn took over and you see what happened. Don't get me wrong, he is a dip sh!t for doing a stunt like that and puting someone elses life in danger. We can all just hope she lived threw it and he never tries something like that again.

The guys running the sports cars: Like I said in a previous post, they knew what they were doing. Yep, anything could of happened, but it didn't. Just like you or I have done many times in our younger years (some are still doing it). You can tell by how smooth they were driving, that this was not their first rodeo and won't be their last. The bad part is it is here for eveyone to see and have many copycats that don't know what they are doing getting themselves and others hurt or killed.

I've got more, but I'll quit. The bugs are getting bad out here and I need another drink.

Don't get me wrong. I've done a lot of stupid things behind the wheel. I still do from time to time, but not as often as when I was younger. I'm too much of a wuss to ride a motorcycle on the highway (I do own and ride two polaris 4 wheelers off road though, pretty hard too)

The thing that irritates me about quite a few of the sport bike guys is that they don't take into account where they are or how heavy traffic is. The stunts in the middle of traffic is what really irritates me.

Consideration of time and place makes all the difference in the world.

4-wheelers can be as bad as anything else. Rocks and trees hurt

I see them hotrodding on one wheel down the freeway and think Those are the guys are the ones that give responsible sport bike riders (like me) a bad name.

I drive so fast so much that 100 MPH feels like crawling along and everything is moving sooooo sloooooowwwwwwww. Even 130 MPH isn't going very fast to me, its a good cruise control speed. Roller coasters are a joke. Oh well.

Wifey thinks 100 MPH is a speed that competes with jet planes

In the last 4 months I have life flighted 6 people after 4 wheeler accident.. They are worse that motorcycles because people don't have any training and just hop on....

For me to life flight someone it has to be pretty bad... My ambulance is a mobile intensive care unit and the only thing the helicopters can do, that I can't, is fly ....

I thought the same thing, I bet he rides wheelies all the time with her on back. Years ago there was a guy in Lake Jackson who rode and even raced his bike on wheelies. He routinely tore right through the main drag of Clute and Lake Jackson at night on a wheelie with his girlfriend hanging on behind him. He never screwed up with her on there, but boy we all would talk about how bad it would be if he did, or if a car would pull out or whatever. Could hardly see him coming at night with his headlight pointed shyward.

The girl in the vid looked pettite with a tiny waist and likely was cute, anyone think the guy ditched her after she was all scarred up?

I was on a Grand Jury about 15 years ago. One of the cases involved a biker who's girlfriend left his bike. We had to determine whether to prosecute this guy or not. We had to look at all the evidence from the accident scene. Lets just say it was pretty ugly. Looking into the eyes of the deceased is not pleasant. I also used to be a member of a VFD. Showing up at a bad accident scene is also not pleasant especially when a bike was involved. Experiences like that have influenced my driving habits.

BTW, I'm not a biker but my wife was. Anytime I want something, I will tell her that I'm thinking about getting a bike. After she has a total sh$t fit, I then suggest what I really want and she has always said "Go get it!".

I agree that the problem with four wheelers is that people hop on them and take off without any training whatsoever. They can definitely be as dangerous as any other toy out there.

I have the scars to prove it. The ATV I ride most is a Polaris Sportsman 450. Its pretty quick for a utility type ATV and a lot of fun to ride. I push it to it's limits quite often and rarely is it out of control. Recently I hopped on a race type Honda (with no training - not one of my most intelligent moments ) and 10 seconds later was flying back first into some brush and a barbed wire fence . Fun Stuff and lesson learned. That thing accelerates a lot faster that my Polaris, but it definitely doesn't stop as fast.

I haven't been on a race type ATV since. There are times when I still want one, but The older I get, the Sportsman works just fine.

In the stills above I see two problems that the poor girl contributed to her own demise. First, she apparently had her hands just resting in the center of the guys back instead of around his midsection. Even worse it seems like she was resting on her ass with her feet not on the footpegs cause you can clearly see her feet and ass go right off the bike as it pops up and it was too quick for her to get her arms around him.

I don't think she had any idea he was gonna wheelie that bike.
