Default Do the 2006 LLY's Overheat?

Ive read about the LLY overheat problems and ive heard mixed responses about the 2006's since they are pretty much a LBZ. So do the 06's still have the major overheating issues that the 04/05's do?

There is lots of reading here and on other sites that could help answer this for you. If i am understanding what I have read correctly, the 06 and up models benifit from a better cooling system which staves off the overheating issue for a longer amount of time, but they will still overheat eventually.

I am sure others here will chime in regarding this, but in my opinion, unless you tow really heavy in tough conditions you should probably be pretty good, but if you want to be sure!! One thing to keep in mind, the factory tempature guage lies even on the 06 I am sure.

Yep, what John said. Esspecially the part where he said "unless you tow really heavy in tough conditions you should probably be pretty good"

IF you have a problem, there is a fix. No worries

You can read here for a little tid-bit on what's happening with him. It is an old thread, but the content still applies. http://www.dieselspot.com/forums/sho...35&postcount=1

Unfortunantly, he only accepts check or money order sent to:

Christopher Shull
6027 South Loop East
Houston, Texas 77033

prices including shipping are:
CAI $60
V2 w/fan $1240
