I'd love to build a full on truck but... Guess I'm just trying to rationalize it without hands on other wise when I'm driving my truck I dig the heck outta driving her.
Go with EFILive and you can go as far as you want with your LMM.

The absolute simplest way to do this is an ECM swap out. I do a very nice 70RWHP Perf/tow tune that respects the stock trans and runs on par with most other tunes rated for 80-100HP. The Dealer can find out that you have tuned the Bosch PCM in the LMM and I'm sure this will apply back to the LBZ. I prefer to keep the stock ECM stock and swap out for a core ECM regardless of what tuning is used.

Agreed. Perhaps I didn't mention this, but I bought a "spare" ECM and do all my own tuning on it only. The one that came with the truck has never been touched and I physically swap it back when I have to visit the dealer for anything. Also, if I ever 'F' something up... I can plug my stock one back in.

Blksmok...on the Efi Live...it came with uno tune....did you do the rest yourself or just buy tunes from a reputable dealer after they reviewed the live data you saved? I'd also like to ask a trans temp question after a visit to your neck of the woods last week but to keep on topic i'll wander over to the allison section.

I've never bought a tune. I've only ever loaded a couple other peoples tunes but frankly, the all seemed to have little things I didn't like about them. That's the beauty of EFILive... you can take things you like about other tunes and incorporate them into your own. I have a pretty good tow tune now and a fun daily driver tune. Neither are safe for a stock trans though...

In my CC Dually, I can hang with guys running professional tunes on the 1/4 mile until I loose fuel rail pressure, (I don't have a lift pump) and I can out pull my friend on grades who has a stock 6.7L cummins and is 5,000 lbs lighter than I am towing our toy haulers.

That's good enough for me.
