Is there a spec sheet available somewhere that includes dimensions and weight?

Yes, it appears to be the fuel filter. I really like the clean appearance without the exhaust manifolds on the sides. I think the reversing of the air flow and the subsequent containment of the heat will make this an attractive engine for many uses.
I am still looking for a spec sheet that gives me weight, length, width, height. Anyone have a link to the data?

Well, I confirmed what I expected. There is no public spec sheet for this engine at this time. I finally decided to contact GM to locate the spec sheet and I receive a phone call from GM today advising me that there won't be a public spec sheet until the engine's specification for availability in a specific vehicle. That is still tentatively scheduled for the 2010 models, but no guarantees as that could still change depending on marketing considerations.
We went on and discussed the use of smaller diesels in smaller vehicles in other countries and our hope that it would also happen here. I must compliment General Motors in that they took the effort to telephone someone that left a general inquiry on their website. That is customer relations in action. I left my inquiry on Friday evening and received the call by noon on Monday.
